    dining table: part of dining room table and chair set in use at Auckland Lyceum Club until 1994

    The Auckland Women's Club formed in 1919 for "women of intellect and ability", affiliated with the Lyceum Club, London in 1922. In 1928 the club moved to new purpose made premises in Smith & Caughey, Queen Street, Auckland. With a falling membership and increased rental these premises in the 1990s.
