  • Kupu whakaahua

    vase, ceramic. Cylindrical form with a flat base and restricted rim. Neck is concave with a rounded rim. Tapers to pedestal foot at the base. Circumference measured above pedestal base is 135mm. Surface is irregular with lumps and hollows, handmade. There are inclusions in the clay and several holes where impurities have eroded out. Cracks visible across the lower portion. No slip. Neck measures 60mm in length.
