straw and rope container for dried persimmons from Nakatsu

in the part of Kyushu from which this rustic product comes, it was the custom in old times to wrap cured wild-boar meat in a sheath of straw, wind it in straw rope, and hang it from the ceiling for use as needed. here the same kind of wrapping is used as a container for dried persimmons from Nakatsu, a port in Oita Prefecture.
