    Vase. A type of prunus vase known as a Mae-pyong; green and grey glaze inlaid with black and two shades of green, cranes flying from left to right, in settings of clouds some of the cranes are enclosed in medallions, the foot is decorated with two rows of elongated lotus petals, a leaf shape collar is located immediately below the mouth.

    Presented to the Director, Rodney Wilson by the Korean Ambassador Dong IK Lee at the conclusion of his official visit to view the Peter Rule loan collection of Korean ceramics on Friday 7 April 1995.

    It provides an example of recent commercial export ware based on traditional forms that replicate earlier decorated vases.
