    Made from blown glass. The vase has a spherical shaped body. The inside of the vase is an opaque black glass, the exterior is a iridescent brown colour unevenly spread through the body. The has a large circular opening with a short neck and rounded shoulders, the base has a concavity. The underside has a punty park. An etched signature is over the punty mark and reads: SIMPSON/ NZ/ 81
