    Wedding dress worn by the late Mrs Elizabeth Hawkins (nee Raynes) in 1877.

    The dress is made from grey silk poplin with darker grey satin banding and grey fringe. It is princess line with a bustle, trimmed with grey satin and heavily fringed round the hem of the skirt. It is all lined in calico. The bodice is very long and fitted with front hooked fastenings and covered buttons. It has a high neck and banded collar with long sleeves with deep cuffs. The skirt narrows from hips.
