amphora, ceramic. Large round bottomed storage amphora. Two rounded handles extend from opposite sides of the neck, below the rounded rim, and attach at the shoulder. No decoration remains (if any was present) and the vessel is marked with encrustations of marine worms and other life showing extended period of submersion. The vessel shows some cracks and several small chips are missing.
