    wooden inkstand of stepped form with a band of decorative carving to the upper section, the lower with a square cavity in which rests a heavy glass inkwell (.2) with decoratively facet cut base and silver lid and mount, the top of which features the museum insignia and the words "Whaowhia" and (.3) a fountain pen with green plastic upper, wooden lower section and gold `filling lever'.
