    infant's petticoat worn in NZ by member of Fleming family

  • Description

    Baby petticoat with wide shallow neck cut out armholes and drawstring at CB neck and waist. 7mm bobbin lace around neck edge, 3mm bobbin lace round armholes. Skirt gathered to bodice at waist and finished with 30mm band of lace insertion and a 30mm scalloped frill of bobbin lace. Insertion of torchon bobbin lace and Ayreshire panel finishing with torchon bobbin lace edging. Possibly machine made.
