  • Description

    netsuke; katabori netsuke, 3-dimensional sculpture; made from ivory; carved; depicts two mushrooms made from one piece of ivory; mushrooms are different sizes and the mushrooms are facing underside up so that the gills of the mushrooms are exposed and the stalks are laying flat; gills of mushroom are inked in black; reverse of netsuke has minimal detailing; on the reverse the larger mushroom has two small holes for a silk cord to pass through
