    Gauge, [cylinder height]

    brass and steel tool, centre is brass with steel appendages on outside with screw knobs to adjust. Black leather box with dark purple velvet interior.

    It is thought that this is a small gauge for measuring the height of the slot of cylinder in a watch or clock.
