    cloth, embroidered, cotton and linen, cream coloured, embroidered in red, blue, green, pink, and black silk, and silver thread. large central pattern including circular motives and sixteen circular motives with red infillings and silver, blue and green threads. tassels at corners. cloth probably worked firstly to produce the edging and solid medallion motives in early 19th century (ref Nat.Gal. Melbourne). later had the "cretan stitch" embroidery added.

    reversible double darning.
