    bowl, lustre, white bowl with pink lustre glaze rim, transfers inside bowl and on outside of funeral themes, death of Princess Charlotte - 1817 :" Early 19th century Staffordshire bowl commemorating the death of Princess Charlotte, who died tragically young in 1817. Charlotte's death became the subject of national mouring resulting in a multitude of commemorative objects.

    This bowl features some of the more popular symbols of Victorian mourning including an hour glass (Time's up!), a broken anchor (lost hope), inconsolable mourners and a weeping willow tree"
