Associated Notes
Mounted fragment of 11 inch German shell which made a direct hit on the after turret of HMS NZ in the Battle of Jutland; donor, then Leading Seaman FW Ablett, was in turret when shell hit. FW Ablett commissioned 20/11/1912, and remained on her to end of war. Was also married from ship on 21.10.1916.
