  • Description

    Belt. This is a belt made from te ira (pandanus leaves). Pinnules of te ira have been dyed a green tone and a small selection of te ira has been left a light natural off-white colour. The non-dyed te ira has been used to create a pattern along the horizontal of the belt. The belt features a serrated bordered pattern in the off-white te ira then a central geometric pattern.

    The reverse of the belt remains entirely of the green dyed te ira however a chevron pattern has been woven across the plain weave of the reverse. One end of the belt forms a point and the opposite end is perpendicular in finish. Its style indicates modern influences.
