Tablemat. This is a place mat, double square star shaped, and woven from dark lou akau. Strips of the same width lou akau have been woven to create this star shaped table mat, it is light brown in colour and the surface is slightly polished. Table mats like this are often made for tourist trade and to sell at the local markets and roadsides by local village women in Tonga.
