    Fue. Fly Whisk. Fue are reserved only for use by orators and high chiefs, they are carried by them during oratory and ceremonial presentations. Fue have two parts; a handle and the whisk. The handle is made from wood and the whisk is made from many fuafuati (bundles of strands) of either 'afa (sennit) or horse hair. This fue has a thick wooden handle, deep brown in colour, cylindrical in shape that flares out at the base.

    The whisk is long and thick with many fuafuati 'afa that have been plaited, knotted and wrapped around the top of the handle. The fuafuati are only plaited partway and then the strands are left to remain loose.
