    Mask on a stand

    Depicting Rangda a Balinese demon queen. Made from wood, cloth textile, cane, perspex, metal, cotton thread, and human hair. A large wooden face with a heavy brow, a large nose and flared nostrils, a large overbite with fangs, and large ears with pronounced earlobes. From the mouth hangs 2 long textile bags on cotton threads; attached to the reverse of the mask is a wig. The wig has a open plait basket base made from cane with red cloth textile over top; attached to the wig textile is 17 long threads of cotton thread with brunette human hair woven in causing the hair to poke in to horizontal directions. The mask is mounted on to a painted black wooden with perspex hooks and metal screws
