    Te tui pule, or te tui pepe. Cowrie shell necklace. This tui pule is strung with pule kena (light-coloured cowrie shells) onto nylon string. A large pendant is centred on the tui pule, in the form of three triangles each meeting at an apex around a central pule uli (dark cowrie shell). There are accents of red talie seeds also incorporated in the pendant. This tui pule can be worn as personal adornment or as part of dance costume regalia.
