    Baby carrier, backpack

    Made from wood, cane, bamboo, and palm fibre. A rectangle shaped back board with bamboo slates worn against the back. Shoulder straps are woven in plait technique from cane and are attached to the centre back and bottom of the frame. A head strap is also woven in plait technique from cane and is attached to the upper section of the frame. 2 side flaps and a platform made from a bamboo frame and hexagonal open work are attached to the frame with cane ties. The baby is wrapped and placed inside the flaps and platform and secured in place with palm leaf fibre rope
