    Talua vai. Water carrier. Talua vai are used as water carriers to store drinking water when one goes out to the plantation or remote areas with limited water access. The Futuna Islands are mostly covered in forest and there is limited to no drinking water, so talua vai are used by those going to the Futuna Islands to carry and store their drinking water.
