  • Description

    Ei. Necklace consisting of red ua (seeds) mata koviriviri (Red-bead Tree, adenanthera pavonina) and small yellow pupu (shells) rengarenga (Yellow necklace-shell, Orobophana pacifica). The ua and pupu are bored and threaded with cotton thread. The ua mata koviriviri are strung in a row of three, forming a wide band of the ei, with a border of single pupu rengarenga. A piece of red and white coloured cloth is tied around the ei.
