  • Description

    Moto. Barbed spear. This moto is carved from kau (wood) into a long cylindrical shaft, pointed and narrow in diameter at the base end and widening towards the centre. The spear head is made up of 36 'tiers' of barbs and finishes in a pointed tip. There is wrapping of voivoi (pandanus) and magimagi) at the base of the spear head. The moto is dark brown in colour.
