    Tangaroa. Carved figure of Tangaroa (Cook Islands deity) in distinctive Rarotongan style. Carved from solid piece of rakau (wood). Stylised head, facial features, body, and feet. Prominently carved phallus. Arms carved clasping the belly with decorative carved marks around the belly button. Varnished surface. Drops of red wax around the figure's eyes and belly button. Dark brown colour.
