    Canoe prow/Canoe stern cover (English)

    Utu mua. Utu muri. Canoe stern cover. Kaa of puru akari (plaited coconut sennit) still attached. Thich carved piece of wood with grooves carved in the underside to fit on front of hull. Holes drilled into thick width for attachment to stern of hull. Rough hewn in areas, particularly the underside. Unsealed wood, dry and weathered as a result.
