    Black and undyed flax kete, patterned kit. The harakeke strips have been dyed a blackish colour. The dominant pattern is poutama. Attached just inside the rim are two handles plaited in a five-ply muka whiri.

    This kete whakairo has dextrals of undyed flax and sinistrals of dyed black flax and features a broken step pattern. The handles are of three strand muka braid.
