  • Description

Pavahina. A collection of pavahina (small tassel-like ornaments) of huruhuru (human hair), likely for ornamental purpose, stored in a metal tin. Each tassel consists of a small segment of grey huruhuru bound at one end and quilleted with taura firi nape (twisted coconut sennit fibre) of a brown natural colour. There are nine pavahina in total, of varied lengths and thicknesses. One in particular is thicker and larger than the others.

The pavahina were stored in a small tin box with a yellow and red lid.
