Rakei ura. Bodice of a dance costume. Woven from kiriau (hibiscus) and machine-sewn onto fabric. Two three-ply shoudler ties made from kiriau are sewn onto both sides at the top of the bodice. Kiriau strands, puka seeds, and pieces of koe (bamboo) stalk decorate the front centre of the bodice. Three metal hooks and three metal eyes are sewn on the back straps of the bodice.

Pare ura. Headdress of a Rakei ura (full dance costume). A woven band made of kiriau strands (hibiscus fibre) is machine-sewn using cotton thread onto fabric. Decorating the woven band are puka seeds, kiriau strands, and pieces of koe (bamboo) stalk. These are sewn onto the woven kiriau and fabric using nylon wire.
