  • Description

    Fusi 'afa. Belt made from 'afa (coconut sennit cord). This fusi is made from nine plaited strands of 'afa that have been bound at either end with string. It is medium brown in colour and approximately 1.4 metres in length. Fusi like this one were used to hold up denser textiles such as siapo (bark cloth), 'ie sina (precious mat), 'ie toga (fine mat) whilst being worn.
