  • Description

    Tāhonga. Amulet. This is a tāhonga carved from one piece of mako'i (type of wood) The mako'i is a light brown colour with a smooth surface. The body of the tāhonga is bulbous with a pointed tip. The tāhonga has two heads with detailed features on both faces. A suspension cord made of mahute (paper mulberry) is wrapped around the neck of the tāhonga .
