    Shell necklace (English)

  • Description

    Ei. Necklace. Consisting of small pink-striped coloured pupu (shells) tarona (Scarlet Periwinkle, Littoraria coccinea), and two variations of pupu raroara (small cream-coloured pupu, Melampus flavus, and small chestnut-coloured pupu, Melampus casteneus). The pupu tarona and the chestnut-coloured pupu raroara are arranged into groups of approximately three to five pupu tarona that alternate with larger groupings of cream-coloured pupu raroara, forming a pattern.

    The pupu are bored and strung end to end on nylon taura tautai (fishing line).
