    Lure; octopus; maka feke; conical shaped stone covered with two pieces of Cypraea tigris shell bound on to stone with sennit fibre; underneath cane is long length of stick (which represents tail) this has fibre tassel at end; complete

    This material was collected 1943-1945 while the donor was commanding N.Z. Forces in Tonga.
