    Kato. Basket. Coiled tu'aniu (coconut midrib) basket kato that is bound together with pandanus strips. It is circular in shape and has a kau (handle) that is looped over the top and is attached at opposite ends. Due to the small size od this kato it was possibly used to store jewellery, trinkets, and other personal items.
