  • Description

    Tairiiri. Fan. Composite tairiiri woven from rauara (pandanus leaf) with overlaid dyed-red/brown apuraka (giant swamp taro). The blade is in shape of a diamond. Plaited commencement at centre base of the blade. Dyed-red strips of apuraka are interwoven into the blade, forming square patterns across the blade. Tairiiri is missing mauranga (handle).
