    Placemat. Square in shape. Commencement form the centre of mat. Woven from paeore (pandanus). Dyed-red strips of overlaid apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decoration) create surface partial patara (zig-zag) patterns across the mat. Machine sewn around edges using cotton thread. Natural coloured Aka verevere (fringe) made from paeore.
