    Placemat. Centre of mat woven from paeore (pandanus) with overlaid dyed-red apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decoration) and dyed-red kiriau (hibiscus fibre) akaververe (fringe). Long rectangular shaped mat. Overlaid dyed-red apuraka decoration in middle of mat forms geometric patterns, with triangles on their sides, apices touching. Red cotton fabric is interwoven with the woven mat, bordering, and strengthening edges of the mat.
