  • Description

    Vaka akaraanga. Model canoe. Single hull. Hull has diamond and circular inlay. Tamanu stern and bow cover. Twine lashing. Pandanus sides. V-shaped carving of the hull implies the design of the vaka is ocean going. Manu (brace) securing the middle of the hull. Dark brown colour. Loose, separate attachments packed securely with the main vaka including tira (mast), kiato (strats), ama (outrigger) pieces. In addition, two kie (sails) of rauara (pandanus), fragile and dirty.

    Natural and dark brown colour.
