  • Description

    Bronze figure, [Tara, consort of Bodhisattva]. Statue depicts a female figure sitting in a cross-legged position, with one hand on ground, the other resting on leg. The hand that rests on the leg also holds a flower. The eyes of the figure are closed, and they are smiling slightly. The figure is heavily adorned with headdress and jewellery. The statue is missing base; constructed in parts with waist and crown slightly moveable in setting.

    The statue contains some kind of ashes, and has therefore been stored upright.
