    Sisi limu

  • Description

    Sisi limu. Waist adornment made from seaweed/moss. This sisi (waist adornment) is made from fau (hibiscus) fibres and limu (seaweed/moss). The main band is 3 ply plaited with strips of fau, hanging from this main band are 15 hanging rows of plaited fau limu pieces are plaited into these rows. at the end of each row is finished off with two loops of fau.
