A cylindrical shaped wooden body that has been hollowed and has a slight convexity at the centre of the body. The skins at the top and bottom of the drum are made out of a stretched animal skin that is coloured a dark brown. The skins are attached to the drum with 'W' shaped animal skin lacing between the skins with horizontal knots between the vertical threads.
