    Polapola. Food gathering basket. Polapola are used as an every day bag for gathering food such as crops, or shellfish. It is made from launiu (coconut leaf) and is quickly woven in large strips. Due to polapola being an everyday bag, easy to make and in large supply, they aren't made with the same care and detailing of an ato (bag).
