Ato. Personal handbag. This ato is woven from finely processed fenū (young coconut fibre). It is rectangular in shape with a fold-over lid incorporated, perhaps woven around a rectangular wooden block to keep the form consistent. At the centre of the lid is a small loop to secure the lid to a shell 'button'. A long handle of braided 4-ply rope is attached to the sides of the bag, which is made of the same fenū material.
