    Whale teeth necklace (English)

    i Taube Bati ni Tovuto. Whale tooth necklace. Consisting of thirty-three shaped teeth, ivory/white in colour, with rounded ends, and bored at the base of each tooth. The teeth are strung onto strips of possibly voivoi (pandanus), which are then wrapped around a cord, tali rua (two-ply), possibly woven from vau (hibiscus fibre), with knotted ends.
