    i Wau Gadi. Pole club. This i Wau Gadi is carved from kau (wood) into a long cylindrical shape with a convex head, straight shaft and grip end decorated with three separate bands of fine magimagi (coconut sennit) lashing interpsersed with tavatava designs carved into the surface. A European nail is inserted into the top centre of the head. The butt is carved flat with four donut shaped pieces of bone inlay and a metal screw at the centre.

    The i Wau Gadi is reddish brown in colour with a glossy patina.
