  • Description

    Ua. Staff. This is an ua made from one piece of wood. The wood is dark brown colour with a smooth surface. The ua is oblong shaped with a rounded base. The opposite proximal end of the ua is carved to form a head. The head is carved with two faces. The features on the face are very detailed with two sets of eyes. The eyes are inlaid of shark bone and obsidian. The ua was held only by the leader of the community.

    Ua were very important as it provided spiritual protection for the leaders.
