  • Description

    Cannon ball from Ruapekapeka. The ball had lodged in a puriri tree within the pa and presented to Judge Acheson by an Ohaeawai branch of Ngapuhi tribe, descendants of Hone Heke.

    Made from iron it is circular with a cavity in top, fuse port. The object is rusted, very dimpled with flaking.
