    Puahala. Poi bowl. This puahala is made from lā‘au (hardwood), possibly kou (Cordia subcordata). It has a circular circumference side are rounded, and there are natural knots visible on the underside. The puahala is brown with varying hues of light and darker tones occurring across the matte surface.
