  • Description

    i Roi. Fly whisk. Made from composite materials. The i Roi consists of a long wood-carved liga ni i roi (handle) and shaft with magimagi (coconut sennit) as the whisk. Strands of magimagi are tightly braided at the base where they attaches to the wooden handle then become loose strands as they flare outwards from the wooden handle. The magimagi is reddish brown in colour and has shiny lustre.

    The handle is somewhat heavy in weight, and of dark coloured hardwood that is round in section at the shaft, then square in section towards the butt.
