    Te matau. Fish hook. A matau (hook) made from a rusted nail shaped into a curve C shape is lashed with te kora (coconut sennit fibre) to a long length of line, also made with te kora. The line is a rich brown colour while the hook is a dark and orange-red rusted hue.
