  • Description

    cradleboard with cloche. A board that an infant is swaddled and strapped to, worn on a parent's back, from Arizona Native American peoples. Made from wood, animal hide, suede, and cane. A plank of wood for the frame with a rounded head end, 5 holes run down next to the edges with animal hide rope tied through the holes for securing the infant.

    A wooden neck support is located across the top end of the board; at the head end is a frame for a hood made from 4 arched pieces of cane that are tied at the sides with brown suede rope. A rope of animal hide is tied to the foot end of the frame runs over the hood and is secured at head end of the frame
